Britney Spears Returns to Planet Hollywood with top-selling Show

📅02 February 2014, 17:47

Britney is back at Planet Hollywood with astonishing ticket sales for her new show. Online ticket retailer StubHub, which handles Spears’ ticket sales, has reported sold out shows from late 2013 into the New Year. She is now outpaced only by Celine Dion and Elton John. The sales outnumbered those from the Caesar’s Palace Colosseum, a venue frequented by the likes of Rod Stewart, Shania Twain and Elton John during the same period.

Appealing to a huge range of fans, Spears has what it takes to make it in Vegas and has already made her presence felt. Kurt Melien, VP of Caesar’s Entertainment division, asserts that Britney has found her niche in sin city, “She appeals to 20-somethings, 30- and 40-somethings. There are fans who loved her in the ’90s and 2000s, and she certainly has a large fan base of folks who follow her contemporary music. Pop is underserved in terms of Las Vegas residencies, and Britney fills that gap in a big way.”

The mother of two has achieved a lot in her 32 years and Britney hasn’t lost her step, she can still strut her stuff on stage with the best. She’ll appear on the cover of Vegas Magazine this week and discuss the transition to Las Vegas, how she expects to balance performance and family lives and what she looks forward to in the future.
