Some of the biggest names in 80’s funk and R&B are set to take the stage at studio 29 this Spring in the city of Coachella.

Klymaxx is one group who’ll be headlining the show. They’re known best for their hits “Meeting in the Ladies Room,” “I Miss You” and “Men All Pause”. The S.O.S. Band will be in attendance as well. This group had several hits over the years, the most notable of which may be “Just Be Good to Me” and “Take Your Time”. Lastly but certainly not least, the Zapp Band is unmistakable for a signature synth sound, vividly apparent in their chart topping hits, “More Bounce to the Ounce,” “Doo Wa Ditty” and “I Can Make You Dance”.

These groups are heavy hitters in their respective genres, leading the way and pioneering their musical styles from the early 80’s into today.

As staples among dance halls and roller discos across the country, the funk and raw talent that these groups emanate are a welcome breath of fresh air in a city now known for the indie, rock and electronic music festival dubbed simply, Coachella. High-energy and good vibes are guaranteed, so put your dancing shoes on for this funky revue.
