The fifth leg of the 2014 Genting Poker Series is taking place at The Genting Casino Newcastle from July 23 – 27.

At the heart of this leg is the £400 + £40 Main Event which will be played across the entire length of the stop. However, the leg starts with a £30 + £3 Rebuy Satellite which will award ten seats to the Main Event.

There are also four online satellites coming up which will award Main Event seats, one each night this week up until (and including) Wednesday, 23 July. Each satellite has a buy-in of £50 + £5 and will give away either 5 or 10 seats.

Genting is now allowing players to play Day 1A of the Main Event online. This will begin on Wednesday, 23 July as long as at least 2 players register. It means that players can save money on travel and accommodation until they know that they have a good chance of cashing out. Furthermore, Day 1A Online will allow 1 re-entry per player so you have two chances of reaching Day 2 without needing to leave your home.

In addition to Day 1B of the Main Event, Thursday, 24th July will also see a £50 + £5 side event take place which has a guaranteed prize pool of £2,500. There are a further two side events; on Saturday, 26th July, there is a £75 + £5 Side Event with a £5,000 guaranteed prize pool and on Sunday, 27th July, there is a £25 + £5 Side Event with a £2,000 guaranteed prize pool.

The leg will draw to a close with the Main Event final on Sunday, 27^th July, where the winner will walk away with at least £30,000.
