The Denver Broncos had a rocky start in their face off against the Seattle Seahawks and things only snowballed from there.

Upsetting many predictions, Seattle dominated the field and trounced Denver in a 43-8 victory. The loss was punctuated for Denver by four turnovers, all beginning with a 2-point safety in favor of Seattle just 12 seconds after the kickoff.

While the league’s best offensive and best defensive teams promised a heated event, the drama quickly dissipated as it became clear that Denver was playing out of their league.

Beyond the less than palatable events of the game, fans lamented that more commercials and more breaks kept the action to a virtual standstill this year.

Fans in Los Angeles were met with upset as well when a Time-Warner snafu left fans without coverage of the game for the duration of the halftime event and into the second half. However, the error was corrected before the end of the game. Suffice to say it may have been too little too late for fans looking for redemption in the live performances that rocked the stadium.

Bruno Maars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers kicked off the halftime show with solid performances that kept fans out of their seats and on their feet.
