This weekend England will host Slovenia at Wembley Stadium for their next Euro 2016 qualifying match.
England last played Slovenia in 2010 when they won 1 – 0 and before that in 2009 when they won 2 – 1.
At present England is top of qualifying Group E with 9 points having won all three of their matches. Slovenia is joint second with 6 points having won 2 games and lost 1.
The bookies are confident that England can make it four in a row and keep its top spot. As such they are offering odds of 3/10 on an English victory, 15/4 on a draw and 17/2 on Slovenia winning. Winner Sport is also offering odds of 4/1 on both a 1 – 0 and 2 – 0 victory for England.
Last month England beat Estonia 1 – 0 and San Marino 5 – 0 .In September they beat Switzerland 2 – 0 and Norway 1 – 0.
Slovenia beat Lithuania 2 – 0 last month and Switzerland 1 – 0. In September they lost 1 – 0 to Estonia.
After this weekend’s match England’s next Euro 2016 qualifying match will be against Lithuania in March 2015.
