At the moment Southampton is second in the league with 26 points having won 8 games, drawn 2 and lost 2. Manchester City is just below them with 24 points having won 7 games, drawn 3 and lost 2. If City wins this game then they will overtake Southampton in the table.

Last week Southampton drew 1 – 1 with Aston Villa and in the game before they beat Leicester City 2 – 0.
