📅12 June 2014, 14:11

Group A starts of this year’s World Cup competition in Brazil with Croatia going up against the home team, Brazil. The match will be played at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paulo at 20:00 GMT.

Naturally the home team is going to feel confident going into this match up, not to mention they’ve won their last five international matches.

Brazil touts a long running football tradition, which will no doubt intimidate Croatia, a team that has won only one of its last 5 international meetings. This will be their first meeting since the 2006 World Cup competition, where Brazil was victorious over Croatia with a 1-0 finishing score.

Croatia will again feel the weight of the underdog position following the rejection of defender Josip Simunic’s 10-match ban appeal for “discriminatory behavior” by FIFA.
