This Friday, 12th June, Wales will be playing host to Belgium for their next Euro 2016 qualifying match at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The teams last played each other in November 2014 and the game ended in a 0 – 0 draw. Prior to that they played in October 2013 and that game ended in a 1 – 1 draw. However, Belgium did win the three games that took place between 1997 and 2012.

It seems that Belgium is set for their first victory against Wales since 2012 as at Winner Sport they are 4/5 favourites to win while the odds on Wales are 7/2 and a draw has been set at 23/10. Furthermore, the shortest odds in the correct score market, of 19/4, are of Belgium winning the game 0 – 1. The next shortest odds, of 11/2, are on a 1 – 1 draw.

At present Belgium is top of Group B with 11 points having won 3 games and drawn 2. However, Wales is tied for points having won and drawn the same amount of games. Belgium is just ahead with a goal difference of +12 to Wales’ +5. Israel is third in the group with 9 points having won 3 games and lost 2.
