This Wednesday, 1st July, Argentina and Paraguay will play in the Copa America semi-finals at the Estadio Municipal Alcaldesa Ester Roa Rebolledo.
The teams have played each other five times since 2009, Argentina has won three games, Paraguay won 1 and the last one ended in a draw. The most recent game was earlier in June and that game ended in a 2 – 2 draw. Prior to that they played in September 2013 and Argentina won the game 2 – 5.
Unfortunately for Paraguay it seems that Argentina are set for yet another victory. At Winner Sports the odds on Argentina winning are 1/2 while the odds on Paraguay are 13/2 and a draw has been set at 57/20. Furthermore, in the correct score markets, the shortest odds of 15/4 are on Argentina winning 1 – 0 followed by odds of 19/4 on Argentina winning 2 – 0.
Argentina reached the semi-finals after beating Colombia 5 – 4 on penalties in the quarter-finals last week while Paraguay saw off Brazil 4 – 3 on penalties. The winner of the semi-final will go on to play in the final next Saturday against either Chile or Peru who are playing their semi-final on Tuesday.
