Liverpool is seventh in the Premier League with 34 points having won 9 games, drawn 7 and lost 7. In their last League Cup game they beat Southampton 1 – 6.
At present Stoke City is ninth in the Premier League with 33 points having won 9 games, drawn 6 and lost 8. In their last League Cup game they beat Sheffield Wednesday 2 – 0.
