This Sunday, 12th July, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer will meet in the Wimbledon men’s final on Centre Court.
They are the top two players in the world so it is no surprise that they have played many times before. This match will be their fortieth encounter. To date Djokovic has won 19 of their matches while Federer has won 20. They most recently played in the final of the Rome Masters and Djokovic won the game 6-4 6-3. Federer last beat Djokovic in Dubai earlier this year where he won the final 6-3 7-5.
It is bound to be a hard fought match but at Winner Sports Djokovic is just favourite to win with odds of 7/10. Federer isn’t far behind with odds of 11/10. However, in the set betting markets the shortest odds of 14/5 are on Djokovic winning in straight sets. This is followed by odds of 17/4 that Federer will win in straight sets.
Djokovic is comfortably at the top of the men’s rankings with 13,845 points. While Federer is second in the world he is some way behind with 9,665 points.
